This place is disgusting. I ate here this afternoon with my family. They messed up our orders multiple times, brought the wrong food, were unapologetic about doing so, and so slow our lunch almost became dinner. The food was generally not good. The ginger wings were edible, as were the onion rings. The other apps were not well cooked (underdone). Yuck. Will not return.

This is usually our first stop when we arrive on the island. This location has really stood the test of time. The service is always great and super friendly. The wings never disappoint; they have some really good sauces and wings are good size. I just did wings this time but my son got the BBQ pulled pork sliders and they were awesome! I highly recommend this place for a nice casual inexpensive meal. My only recommendation would be to add some more draft beers.

We stopped in on a Saturday night. We were seated in a booth closest to the kitchen, you know, that booth that is typically not used unless the whole restaurant is full? The restaurant wasn't full, my only guess as to why we were seated here is that we had the toddler with us. We eat out at restaurants frequently, she knows how to behave. Besides, even if she were being loud, it was college game day... she would hardly be a disruption to the rest of the very loud restaurant. We were in HH as a part of a fabulous program (which I will not name b/c I don't want this to reflect badly on them), and as part of that program several places had donated meals at lower cost- most were B1g1 free. Wild Wings was offering 2 free meals (according to the paper we got). When we mentioned the program the waitress said there was a limited menu to choose from. The waitress couldn't find the limited menu, so she returned to tell it would be B1G1 instead (with a limit of $14). We ended up paying for our drinks and just leaving.

The wings were OK. The service on the other hand was awful!!! We went for lunch and got there a little before 1:00. There were 3 other tables full and we sat right down. The first sign of trouble should have been the family of four who must have been waiting a while for their order because I heard the waitress apologize for the delay and their food would be coming right out. (It came about 10 minutes later)We ordered a lunch special of all you can eat wings. We were told it ran until 1:30 so we figured we would get our second order in after we started our original order. By now, we were the only family in the dining room. Our order came out and we never were able to get our waitress again. Finally she came to get the empty plates so we ordered 3 different sauces for our next order. At around 1:50, we were done waiting and found our waitress. She said the order got mixed up in the kitchen and ours would be right out. Again, we were the only ones in the dining room. Another family had just sat down and heard that we were their for now over and hour to get fed. They were concerned about that. The manager came over and discounted our bill, which was great but what we really wanted was some wings. I would avoid this place if you are looking for a quick bite to eat. The bar area looked good- maybe that is their main focus area.

I loved the peanut sesame dressing on my salad, and the chicken fingers were devoured by my kids (I may have eaten a few as well) Overall a great meal for the price paid. And a good venue if you are close by for take out.

If you don't mind slow service decent food. 50 min wait, same for food and your bill.

Best comedy show on Hilton Head Island - unless you want to eat. The owners and managers should be congratulated because this place must be making money in spite of itself or it would be gone. Amazingly, this place has been operating on the island for many years. My family of 4 went there tonight for a casual dinner and were in no real hurry. We checked in and were told 30-40 minutes. We got drinks at the bar while we waited. We began to notice many tables opening and a full bar of people waiting for tables. At one point I counted 17 open and cleared tables. We asked if the tables were being filled and got some illogical answer from the very young looking hostess. We waited. We watched as the tables never filled. A nice couple at the bar was laughing along with us and they offered up their table when it was called since they decided to just eat at the bar. We took the table without a question as to why the group of 2 went to 4. Unfortunately many of the tables never got filled, but I guess the waitresses and owners don't need the income. One table remained completely vacant the entire time we were there. Our waitress took our order on a napkin. When our food came, many of the details were wrong or missing and we had no silver ware and the waitress never came to check on us. Since it was such a free-for-all, I decided to walk to the servers station and get our own. I also noticed the table next to us needed some so I got theirs too. They informed me that the waitress forgot to even put their order in. We all had a chuckle. During the visit we watched the staff and customer interaction. It was a total trainwreck. Sad because the tables weren't empty due to lack of customers but rather the total incompetence of the system, staff, and absent management. It was certainly a comedy show the entire night. Unfortunately for us we were the butt of the joke. I'd avoid this totally disorganized and unsupervised mess. There are so many other good places willing to try to earn your business. This place and these owners really don't deserve your money. It is however the best comedy club on Hilton Head Island if you have the time to wait for mediocre bar food.

We're here on vacation and this restaurant is next door to our resort. We ate a late dinner there and were excited after reading the reviews and seeing the crowd. First, our server barely was at our table long enough to take our order. Everything took a long time to get to our table. It took about 15 minutes for our appetizers to come out. The server put in the wrong order for my son and it took 30-45 minutes for his replacement pizza to come out. The food was, at best, mediocre. We will NEVER come back!

Great place to watch a game or just enjoy some good food in a casual atmosphere. I love the pretzel bites they do in your favorite BBQ sauce. The wings are great and the bartenders/service is too.

I've been spending large amounts of time on Hilton Head for over half of my life now. The first place that I hit upon returning to my second home is Wild Wing Cafe. The wings are, by far, the best I have ever had. They have around 30 varieties - I can personally vouch for the Colorado Coppers, Jalapeno Cheddar, Chernobyl, Ranchilada, and Old Yeller. The pulled pork is also out of this world! At night, they often have live entertainment in the form of music or trivia contests. On any given night, it's the most hopping place on the island.

Visited this place a few times over a few years, was here in March 09, still can't figure out why this one manager Joe guy won't give the wi-fi access password to any of the other managers let alone the employees. its close to ridiculous for such a nice little sports bar. They have a ton of wing flavor options and keep the place nice and sports bar like. It sits back in this Bi-Lo shopping center making it kind of hard for most GPS systems to pin point but a very cool little spot and the food is good. i like to stay connected so this little "we don't know the password" thing has stuck with me, i got the same response last year, this guy ........ anyhow, the review is about the venue and its a good spot to go have Wings or a drink. They have about 20 different beers on tap, my experience about every time is that the bar tending staff is fairly slow to attend to you unless you know them so don't panic if you're sitting there with an empty glass for a minute. There are plenty of 26 to 42 inch tv monitors all around the bar area and several others scattered around the sitting areas in the restaurant. I like the place but know what i'm getting if i chose to come over here, fairly popular among the locals as a wing and beer spot. on a side note: walking into the Mens bathroom will immediately feel like someone is on the other side of the door pressing trying to stop you from entering, its enough to make you step back and try to figure out what's going on, its a tough door to get past

We love this place. Go a few times during our vacation every year. Never had a problem with the service or wait times. Wings are always delicious along with many other items on their menu. Great selection of beer too!

This place had some really good wings. They have 25 different flavors and there is something for everyone. The General Tso's wings are awesome! The hot wings are not hot at all. There like a medium at other wing places. The staff is freindly. It looked like a good place to hang out at on a Friday night, they have bands playing. They could do a better job keeping up with. Furniture is very old.

We had high hopes for Wild Wings Cafe, but we were highly disappointed. We frequent Buffalo Wild Wings and Buffalo Wings and Rings, but this place wasn't even close. We started with the onion rings but as soon as we got them, a roach crawled across the table. We moved to a table outside to finish our meal in peace. I had the boneless wings but they tasted like they were cooked a few days ago and just reheated. My wife lost her appetite, but what she ate of her wrap she said was okay.

Awful place...wings are just average. Their queso dip is an open jar of cheese spread and nothing more. The server was polite and always had a smile but she got the order wrong, the bus boy changed it for us, she didn't even come to say sorry about that. She had told me it was $2.00 to have all flats and I explained I did not want all flats just to have the flats with a different sauce (which the 10 wings were up to two sauces) and she said ah, ok. and then charged the $2.00 because i requested the sauce on the flats. Which is ok if you let me know. When she came back she noticed we didn't eat the queso and chips at all, she asked if we didn't like it and we said no...her answer: here is the check you have a good night. However the one star is for the atmosphere, group of friends and family having fun with trivia night.

Wild Wing continues to deliver good food, drinks and fun trivia. My new favorite marinade is Carolina Fireball, and I love ordering the marinades on the shrimp skewers for an alternative to wings. Trivia Tuesday is always a good time, and our winnings (free bucket of beer and a $10 gift card) meant we had to come back a second time in one week!

I have gone to Wild Wings every week from Dec. To May over the past 16 years. Before that, about 5 times a year since they originally opened in the 1980's. I love their wings when they are freshly prepared , which has been hit and miss over the past few years. Most of the problems have been related to over cooking and basically dry wings. I have pointed this out to management on several occasions with no lasting success. I have never asked for any special treatment as a result of these complaints. They appear to be in a state of denial over the quality of their product, in my opinion, and don't seem to be improving at all. This review is difficult for me as I love Buffalo wings and want nothing but a good serving and their overall success. I question whether they will satisfy my expectations in the future.

Reminds me of a dirty college bar/restaurant. The food and service are just ok. The atmosphere improves if you sit outside on a night when they have live music.

Whenever we are in Hilton Head this is our "go to" place for dinner one night and take out for lunch another day. Service is always good, the variety of wings is plentiful and it is kid friendly which is what we needed. I would recommend getting there earlier than 6:30pm because it gets busy.

I love Wild Wing Cafe! I always look forward to going there at least twice during our annual vacation in Hilton Head. We usually get take out but we have eaten there as well. Staff has always been very friendly. There are plenty of TV's in the bar & restaurant. My wife usually gets the shrimp skewers which are very good. I always get the 25 wing sampler because you can get up to 5 different sauces. My favorite sauce is habanero hot. I also enjoy the fireball & Atomic. The blue cheese is excellent. The only thing that could make this place better is if the wings were a little bigger & crispier. Can't wait for my next meal here!

  • Mike S.

Pretty good wings with a very large sauce selection! Waiter was real nice. Service was quick and attentive. Good sports bar to watch the out of town games.

    (4)
  • Bradley A.

Terrible wings. Absolutely the most greasy wings I've ever seen, you could poke them with a fork and grease would squirt out. Oh and the flavor of the wings? Tasted kind of like grease, couldn't even distinguish between the two flavors I had besides one tasted like buffalo hot (which I didn't order). Ate half the wings and threw the rest away.

  • Mary N.

If you're looking for a fun place to watch sports and just hang out with friends while on the Island this is a great place to stop. The selection of wings is delightful and there are a wide variety of sauces to suit any palate. Not real vegetarian friendly but a few items were available. The hot wings are truly hot and the potatoes were perfectly cooked. Service was great on the night we were there and it was quite crowded for a Monday evening in late December.

    (4)
  • Katie S.

Horrible experience! We were seated and then ignored. The wings I ordered were supposed to be the most mild level and were just as spicy as the medium level wings. There are no explanations of the flavored. Our bill came out wrong and the waitress argued with me and made faces at me. I will never go back.

My husband and I rode our bicycles to Wild Wing Cafe. I had the Loco Bueno wings and side salad. My husband had the grilled chicken feathers with one of the super spicey sauces. We both thought the food was good. Plus $2 drafts put a smile on our faces. I bought a T-Shirt that said "Beer: It's not just for Breakfast anymore." Good time, fair prices, decent food. Typical niche wing and beer joint. I believe they may have live music at night/weekends, we were there for a late lunch.

The Wild Wing Cafe was a great spot for some food, a game and beer during my trip to HHI. The staff was good, the atmosphere vibrant...and I'd come back if I was in town again. It is a little hidden if you don't know where you're going.

  • Megan S.

This place is so fun! They used to have an area out front with cornhole and badmitten, which was GREAT for long waits. The food is good, definitely a different taste than run of the mill BDubs wings, which is definitely a nice change of pace

    (4)
  • Karina P.

Best wings by far in HHI. They have so many choices its awesome. The service is also great. Every time I go, all the employees are really friendly. Honey garlic wings are unbelievable. Its nice to have a spot you can go have great wings and some ice cold beer!

  • Christopher S.

Great prices, a huge menu, full bar, and so many choices of wing sauces to choose from! The wait is worth it for seating but you can hit the beverages in anticipation! Once again, we had a party of about 25. Four of us got there early and on the list. We grabbed a bucket of Coronas and went out on the porch to wait for our name to come up. No worries. We were seated on the patio and life was good! The word of the evening was wings. All of us shared in the tasting of the wings and nuggets. The Ginger was awesome. The Boss is righteous. It just goes on and on. Our servers were great and just added to the fun. This is a must hit on Hilton Head Island!

  • A. C.

The service at this place was horrible! Our waiter left for about an hour and never came back. We had to ask multiple times for our drinks and after sitting there waiting for our checks for an hour, we finally had to ask him for them. Strongly don't recommend....

  • CT C.

We have been here twice and will definitely go back, if not on this visit, then on our next. First off, we have kids. This place has a nice kid's menu with reasonable selection. Further, the chicken is juicy. For my husband and myself, the food was seriously yummy. He got 16 wings. I got the mile high nachos. Both were delicious. I would give it 5 stars if this were on a relative scale and not for all food. This isn't fine cuisine. It is yummy bar food. For sit down fast food with a bar, this is what you want.

I have never seen a Wild Wing Cafe that I didn't love! Eating at the original here during their 21st anniversary did not disappoint me. Ragin Cajin, Wild West, Chernobyl, Flamin' Parmesan are all awesome wings. Don't forget the Spinach dip for an appetizer!

While on a recent trip to Hilton Head we visited Wild Wing Cafe a coupe of times. Our first visit was nothing short of forgettable. The food is just average american casual dining food, not great and not bad. Our server however, was terrible. She was more concerned with her cell phone and socializing in the corner than she was with us, thats for sure. In fact a cook from the kitchen actually ran both our appetizers and our entrees at a time when our server was clearly not busy. We seemed like a bother to our server. Had it not been for scheduled musical entertainment another night, I don't think we would have returned. Luckily on the second visit, our next server was outstanding. She took great care of us, and the music was great. A very enjoyable and entertaining evening for sure. Our food was again pretty decent, but our drinks we're brought to us very quickly and refilled immediately. Unfortunately our server was off before we're ready to leave, as we we're still enjoying the music, but she made sure to have another server take over for us. Too bad the second server didn't seem to care. In fact had she paid us any attention, I would have tipped her well. She didn't, so she received a dollar, and I later hunted down our initial server earlier and gave her a $20. All in all this is a very average place, average food, hit or miss service, and pretty enjoyable nightlife and music. I would probably return for drinks, but wouldn't plan on making an evening of dining there.

What's not to like? Great selection of wings and burgers- more TV's than you have toes- happy hour beers and well drinks for 2 buckaroos!- It's a party place! We went to watch the Gamecocks try to do their stuff :( I'm glad the food was good :) It's the perfect place to watch a game! Service was a little slow, but the place was pretty full to the rim! It's a bargain place for groups! There was 7 of us in our group, we all ate and drank and even celebrated with a few shots and the bill was well under 2 Benjamins!

Great service and wings were perfect. Highly recommend The Boss, Jalapeño Cheddar, and Red White and Blue. I tried the China Syndrome but too hot for me, and I can stand some hot stuff! Wait staff was fun and friendly, will go back every time we're in Hilton Head.

We ate at this Wild Wing Cafe location this evening. It was quite busy due to the Labor Day Holiday. Nonetheless, the food was decent and the service was quick. The Ranchilada wings I had tonight were nothing like the ones I remember from the past...little or no ranch flavor, just heat. Anyway, in reference to the "shorting customers" header, I ordered a pint of Guinness and got my drink in a 16 oz cup, which I asked about straightaway. According to our waitress, the bartenders (out of concern for the heavy partying going on and the risk of glass breakage) were serving up the beer in plastic cups. Anyway, when the bill came, I had been charged for a 20 oz Guinness. I pointed this out to the waitress and she returned with the check with only $1 deducted from the initial balance. If everyone was being charged for 20 oz servings and only receiving 16 oz servings, I guess Wild Wing Cafe was doing pretty well last night. But it seems a bit sleazy to me. Charge less or bring the extra 4 oz I paid for in a second cup. Don't charge me for what I didn't get. This policy was evidently ok'd by the Manager (Dom) according to the waitress (FLO).

  • Justin S.

If the service had been better I wouldn't hesitate to give 5 stars. In fact, if based on food alone I'd give it 6 stars because I've tried alot of wing places and never found one better yet. They have more wing flavors than you could possibly need. The jalapeno cheddar wings are always a must get for us. We have probably tried about 10-15 of the 30+ wings flavors and don't regret a single choice. Some of them, though, you will want again and again. For your basic hot wing they have like 7 tiers of hotness. Starting at mild and going up to "braveheart". I've not ventured past the china syndrome which is like number 5, I think. (I cried so much that the waitress brought me a glass of milk.) It is a chain restaurant now throughout the southeast. Some offer good service, this one was a miss. The staff seemed very unprofessional and our glasses hit the bottom which is no good when you are trying to take down hot wings. Finally, the atmosphere is great. There is always something going on between trivia nights and bands. Happy hour has good drink prices too!

  • B H.

Kind of stunned by the rating of this place. The wings were terrible. Cold, dry, and zero flavor on the sauce. I also had a burger that was under cooked. It's hard to mess up a burger, but they found a way. The fries were marketed as jumbo fries, but were small and tasteless. The service was good. That's essentially the only positive, and the one reason I give it a second star.

There were some strange options on the menu. The service was okay. Overall, it was only worth going there to watch a football game and have an ehh okay bite to eat.

Good food. Good variety. Fair value. This is the original location for what is now a small chain. It is like Buffalo Wild Wings except the food is better and the serve it on real plates.

Went here one night - decent food - cheap ass drinks - really good cover band playing 80s, 90s, and current day hits - good times - nice down to earth place on HHI - avoid the stuffier establishments.

This place was just ok. I ordered the chargrilled feathered chicken and it was no where near chargrilled. The chicken had no color it tasted like it was boiled or something. No grill marks at all. I had the gold rush sauce on it and it was not good either. Never going back. Everyone else said their food was fine.

  • Robert R.

Both Laura and Liz (previous yelp reviewers) are right, this is a good place to go on Hilton Head and worth the trip. I just wanted to add my opinion on the different flavors of wings. We got the sampler platter of 25 wings, we ordered 10 of the Habanera Hots, 5 of the Chernobyl, 5 of the Carolina Red Hots (?) and 5 of the China Syndrome. They were all good and it was really hard to tell which was hotter. Over all we like the China Syndrome wing the best, they were not the hottest wings but had a really good mix of hot and sweet with a nice glaze on them. Like Laura D said be prepared to wait.

We called ahead, as we do every year at spring break, to let the Wild Wing manager know that we had a large party coming in. We were told that would be fine. When we arrived, it was over an hour wait and they could not hold a reservation. We decided to wait anyway. Once we were at our table, our order was taken quickly by two young waitstaff. Our cheese sticks came first and a little while later, we were told we would not be getting our buffallo chips, they just ran out. As our meals came out, we realized they forgot to give us our salads. As we all started to eat, we noticed that our friend still had not gotten her food. She asked several different people for her meal and they said they would check on it. As we finished up our meals, it was evident, they had forgotten to place her order. It came out 20 minutes after ours. My other friend ordered 2 items for take out and as one of them was ready, we were told they had run out of the other. We did leave a tip, but do not plan to go here again next year.

good wings! they have over 25 different flavor of wings. I liked "The Boss" wings & the jerk island wings! if you are craving wings on your vacation in Hilton Head, i recommend hitting up wild wings. they are open until 2am, they serve wings until 1am and they always have a house band playing your favorite rock songs! its your typical restaurant/bar joint, not classy at all - so plan on getting a lil dirty in there! :)

My husband and I went to Wild Wings Cafe in Dec. We had the worst meal we've had in a long time. I can't remember all the details, just that we would never go again. My cheddar broccoli soup was like paste. The wings were bony and inedible. The one star is for the service which was good and cheerful. Since it was off season the place was almost empty.

We went here to get a quick bite to eat after a long day shooting photos on Hilton Head. When my husband and I arrived, we sat at the bar to order, since there was really no where else to sit. When sitting at the bar, it was hard not to hear the bartender. Something had set him off earlier in the night as he kept repeating that he wanted to murder people. This, oddly, made me have an odd attachment to him. He had great customer service even with the mood he was in! While there, there was a band playing some God awful covers. I'm sure they would have sounded fine if I was drunk like everyone else there. They were also way too loud for the enclosed space of the restaurant. I developed a headache and had to go sit out in the car as a result. The food was ok and the atmosphere was horrible. Only go here if you're trashed, or plan on being trashed shortly afterwards. Two stars only because I really liked our murder on the mind server.

The food is good but the service is awful. We had to wait 45 minutes for table (only 4 of us) and there were several open tables. We also had to wait over 30 minutes for our food. Bar staff would not even acknowledge me for 5 minutes! Their excuse was always the kitchen is behind (well then staff the kitchen)! No manager was ever visible, food came out wrong. The only good thing is that they had Corn Hole and a sand area for the kids to play. Good atmosphere for sports games. I will not be back here

  • Rebecca M.

Against my better judgment, based off recent Yelp reviews of service, a group of 10 of us went for "dinner" (ok, it was 4:30pm), and that included 4 kids under 4 yrs old. We were seated quickly, orders came out correctly and the waitress was attentive and pleasant. Food was not bad, but not great. I was definitely relieved because I was prepared for the worst, from what others were saying.

  • China D.

Pleasantly surprised!! Excellent kids meals, they had a ton of kids choices that were healthy and super delicious. Enough food for older kids. They have very nice staff. The turkey and cheese slammers on the kids menu were very good. My daughter said they had the best Mac and cheese ever. The salads were also surprisingly good. If you want a good, cheap family meal this is the place.

This place has gone down hill over the past few years. The service was super slow and the food was mediocre at best. This place used to have the best wings, but they've let this place slip. Sticky tables, dirty bar and greasy food that's not very edible is why they only get two stars.

Used to be our favorite place for casual dinner. We've been going to Wild Wings since the early 90's. The last few times the service has been terrible and the food not up to standards. Today the service was beyond bad and we'll never go back.

We went in on a Sunday in on night about 7:30pm and when we went in noticed about 20 open tables, so we thought no problem we should get a table easily. Well the hostess informed us that it would be a 45 minute wait, we started thinking of a plan B restaurant and our decision was made for us when two angry customers from different tables came up asking to see a manager. It's sad, because we used to like this place when we were in HH, but it appears that a poor staff and management is running it in the ground. Here's hoping they get their act together by next year because there are plenty of great restaurants within walking distance and the bad ones tend to fade away quickly in this town.

First off when we initially walked in there was a girl sitting there picking her belly button and adjusting her boobs. Then when were sat down we weren't acknowledged for at least 10 minutes. Yes that is short, but when we sat down the table was disgusting as were the walls and floors. So that combo of things made us get up to leave. Then as we were leaving the same girl picking her belly button was eating out front. And then the manager was trying to drag us back in but there was no way we were going to do that with everything we had just witnessed. I would stay away from this place if I were you.

My family and I came here on a Sunday night after getting into town late as it was the only restaurant open. I have been once before but it was over 10 years ago so I hardly remember. We were promptly seated as it was late and the restaurant was busy. The TVs were SOOOOO loud and we were sat right under a speaker which didn't help much. It took a long time for your waitress to come over and great us, almost 5 minutes or so. However she was prompt to return with our drinks and take our order. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich which I was warned was spicy so they made it "non spicy" for me which was great. However when the food arrived the bun on my sandwich was SO SO soggy and gross I couldn't even pick it up without it falling apart. I ended up having to eat the sandwich with a fork and knife and even then it was just gross. It seemed like no one else was happy with their meals either. There's definitely way better places to eat on the island.

Tried the Sriracha Honey Lime Wings tonight. Very tasty. Service slow but OK overall. Waitress friendly and showed proper amount of attentiveness once she made it to the table. (The rating mainly due to slow initial service.)

Second time visiting this Café. No one was at the door to seat us as the sign read, and had to wait about 8 minutes before anyone came to take our order.....but other than that when we were waited on the gentleman that waited on us was friendly and helpful. Excellent for menu choices and prices. The MILE HIGH NOCHES WERE FANTASIC. Great wings!!!!! After trying many of the area restaurants over the past few months we found Wild Wings Café had the best food and service. Large bar with many televisions. Family friendly atmosphere, with helpful staff. I think we will skip trying the other restaurants in the area and just stick with a sure thing; knowing we will have a great meal in a clean environment. Mary Ward Georgia

Terrible. We ordered 5 flavors of wings. They came unlabeled and frankly all tasted the same. Maybe they were. The staff was surly and disinterested. Any comparison to BW2 is criminal. Don't waste your time or money .

Horrible!!! The worst wings I have ever had. We asked for crisp wings. We got white rubbery chicken skin. The sauce was a joke. I could have made wings at home that would have rocked next to this crap. Never AGAIN.

Dropped in while on vaca. Sat down and waited 15 minutes and not one person came to greet us. Overheard wait staff curse about a coworker. Not a huge deal we all do it sometimes (most of us) and it wasn't meant for us to hear. Hopefully he was cursing about the person who should have been at that point serving us our second round of drinks and appetizers :). We were here a few years back during peak season and enjoyed it. But it has gone down hill in our opinion. After waiting 15 minutes a manager greeted us and apologized for the wait before we said anything. Then we waited another 10 minutes and finally went to the host stand and grabbed two menus on our own. We had two children who needed to eat. We then had to flag a waitress down to order. She was pretty good. There were only four tables of patrons. And roughly 8 employees. No reason for such poor service. The food was ok. Fried shrimp really good, everything else was decent for a bar. Many better places to eat on the island than this place.

While vacationing in Hilton Head a couple of weeks ago, we visited the Wild Wing Cafe for lunch on a Monday. This location is one of around a dozen in South Carolina and they also have another couple dozen restaurants in six other southern states. We joined some friends of ours who always stop here at least once on their trips to Hilton Head. I knew right away that I was going to get boneless wings ($9.99 for a dozen) but the list of 33 made from scratch sauces was a little intimidating. Eventually I went with fireball (a flavorful and fiery mix of sweet 'n spicy) and ragin' cajun. I like my wings wet, in fact the more sauce the better for me. So I definitely enjoyed the fireball more than the ragin' cajun, which seemed to more of a spice run than a sauce. The fireball was a great sauce and it definitely had plenty of heat in the mix. I also had a side of house chips ($1.99) which are a lightly seasoned homemade potato chip. These were fairly standard but exactly what I needed to accompany the spicy wings. I washed it all down with a couple of SweatWater beers from the pretty decent draft lineup. Overall Wild Wing Cafe provides a solid lunch option especially after you've had your fill of seafood.

Have been coming here for lots of years and this was the first time service was really bad. Our waitress Sierra was not very attentive to our table and the restaurant was not busy. She didn't check on our table, brought our appetizers, salads and meals all at the same time when we asked her not too. Everyone's order was incorrect. To top it off she just dropped our checks down without asking if we wanted anything else!! Also she never gave us pen to sign our checks with!!! Maybe she is new but we won't be back! The food was average and the place seems to be going downhill!

This is bar food for sure but pretty decent for what it is. I had grilled shrimp with ranchalito sauce (not sure on that spelling) and it was pretty good did need to get an extra side of sauce bc the shrimp were pretty dry. Everyone in our party liked what the had but not overwhelmed by any means. I will say the best tator tots I've ever had so I'd definitely recommend those. The hot shot appy was just ok supposedly it's amazing but no one was to excited about them.

This place has gone down hill over the past few years. The service was super slow and the food was mediocre at best. This place used to have the best wings, but they've let this place slip. Sticky tables, dirty bar and greasy food that's not very edible is why they only get two stars.

This place was just ok. I ordered the chargrilled feathered chicken and it was no where near chargrilled. The chicken had no color it tasted like it was boiled or something. No grill marks at all. I had the gold rush sauce on it and it was not good either. Never going back. Everyone else said their food was fine.

Tons of options on the menu. The wings were excellent. Nice size, nice sauce options. Don't get the kids menu nachos; Thty're not worth it.

Pretty good wings with a very large sauce selection! Waiter was real nice. Service was quick and attentive. Good sports bar to watch the out of town games.

Horrible experience! We were seated and then ignored. The wings I ordered were supposed to be the most mild level and were just as spicy as the medium level wings. There are no explanations of the flavored. Our bill came out wrong and the waitress argued with me and made faces at me. I will never go back.

This place is so fun! They used to have an area out front with cornhole and badmitten, which was GREAT for long waits. The food is good, definitely a different taste than run of the mill BDubs wings, which is definitely a nice change of pace

Best wings by far in HHI. They have so many choices its awesome. The service is also great. Every time I go, all the employees are really friendly. Honey garlic wings are unbelievable. Its nice to have a spot you can go have great wings and some ice cold beer!

The service at this place was horrible! Our waiter left for about an hour and never came back. We had to ask multiple times for our drinks and after sitting there waiting for our checks for an hour, we finally had to ask him for them. Strongly don't recommend....

Went here one night - decent food - cheap ass drinks - really good cover band playing 80s, 90s, and current day hits - good times - nice down to earth place on HHI - avoid the stuffier establishments.
